Toward an Eco-Theology for the End of the World…
Which is to say… theology in a world on fire.
Hello,
My name is Ryan Cagle and I am a church planter, graduate student, and public theologian working in the backwoods of Alabama along the southern most tip of Appalachia in the areas of food sovereignty, mutual aid, and anti-mammon community organizing. You can find out more about me on my rarely updated personal website.
What is the point of this Substack?
This is a small attempt to sow seeds of hope and praxis amidst looming ecological collapse by cultivating a small digital garden of my ideas, reflections, and wrestlings around faith, farming, spirituality, and the climate crisis.
What should I expect if I subscribe?
Sporadic and irregular posts, academic papers, and honest personal reflections on a wide range of topics within the worlds of eco-theology and the climate crisis (with a little bit of contemplative mysticism sprinkled in for good measure.)
