Dreaming of Alternative Futures in Precarious Times
Back in 2023 I released a series of three papers for paid subscribers that explored ecological overshoot, societal collapse, and the work of imagining alternative futures (specifically for Appalachia.) While these papers don’t specifically address the various contours we are facing in this precarious time of political unrest in the United States, I do feel as if the work and words of those appear have a “true word” (to quote Paulo Freire) to say about the present moment we find ourselves in. In light of the times I have unlocked all three of these posts for everyone regardless of subscription type. May they be fuel for the work of believing a different world is possible.
